12/23... 24 week appointment. All is great!! His heartrate was 143. My blood pressure remains normal as well as my weight gain. Crazy feeling seeing the scale tip numbers foriegn to me :0) This was the first appointment I was actually measured using a tape measure and the nurse said I was measuring exactly 24 weeks. So we are still right on schedule. Baby Liam was sweet enough to have gotten me a couple Christmas presents... A pregger pillow and a humidifier. The pillow is great. I am able to support my belly, head and legs all with one pillow. It also keeps me from rolling around. Therefore, I have been sleeping on my side much better (naturally I am a belly sleeper). The humidifier is for our dry bedroom and bloody noses. He also got JC his first Lions jersey. Since the jersey was purchased the Lions have won the past 3 games. Maybe Liam is the good luck charm :) My next appointment will be the glucose test to make sure I don't have gestational diabetes. Stay tuned.....

20 weeks... (TAC typing)

We had our 20 week ultrasound and Dr. appt. We were thrilled to find out we are expecting a baby boy!! Neither one of us really said what we were "hoping" for (in fear of being wrong) but I believe we both were for a boy. Or at least, I can speak for myself on this one. I am super excited to have a lil man to raise. We were getting mixed guesses from most of the family. All of whom were excitedly awaiting to hear the news!! I don't think I have ever gotten that many phone calls or text messages in one day. Our Dr. appt following the US went well. I started feeling kicks and punches about 2 weeks ago- I still stop in my tracks when this happens... such an amazing feeling. Our next appt is 12/23 (Merry Xmas) :)

16 weeks... Tracy typing

We had another doctor appointment today. Another heartbeat heard... this one was found very quickly. Heartrate 155. The nurse informed us that the heartrate will continue to decrease as the baby grows. Everything is progressing along as it should. Questions for the doctor: headaches??...ugh!!! I am getting headaches daily- she suggest to drink a coke and take a Tylenol. Hoping that they will not last longer than a few more weeks. Taking birthing and CPR classes??... will do in the 3rd trimester. Weight gain??... I should gain an estimated pound a week going forward. Eeekkk :) She also mentioned my fun high heels will not last much longer :( Oh well- another reason to go shoe shopping, I suppose. And the highlight of the appointment- We scheduled the 20 week ultrasound to find out the gender. 11/24/10!!! It will make for an exciting Turkey Day. Hmmmmm...... Girl or Boy- What is the family's vote???

The first post... We have decided to keep an updated blog to document the journey as our baby bump grows. This blog will contain updates all along the way for ourselves and any family/friends that are interesting in watching as the journey continues.

October 4th, we had our 2nd Dr. appointment where we heard a strong and stable heartbeat. It was one of the most amazing sounds my ears have ever heard. I was brought to tears instantly. (Well, I will be honest- I am easily brought to tears right now :) The heartbeat was 164. The nurse informed us that the myth that it has anything to do with the gender of the baby- was exactly that... a myth. We do plan to find out the sex of the baby and should be able to around the end of November!

I hope to post a picture soon of my expanding waist line. Work pants are becoming a little snug.

Our official due date is 4/15. Tax day- LOL!!
